Microgrants Program

Our Microgrant Program supports early-stage cryptography research projects that aim to secure digital infrastructures and uphold digital human rights. Our program is built for simplicity, with no need for organizational affiliation and no strings attached.

Grants are evaluated quarterly, with four deadlines each year. All applications are reviewed by PGC advisors and committee members only. Decisions are sent by email within a month of each deadline, and applicants are welcome to reapply if not selected.

Areas of Research

Our focus is on applied cryptography and last mile research, research that could enable new applications.

Areas of research include:

* decentralized systems

* zero knowledge proofs

* proof of storage

* fully homomorphic encryption

* multiparty computation

* verifiable computing

* private information retrieval

* quantum cryptography
