Volunteer Opportunities 

Thanks for your interest in volunteering at the Downtown Tacoma Block Party!  

IF YOU SIGN UP FOR A VOLUNTEER SHIFT AFTER 7/31, YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE A VOLUNTEER INFO EMAIL. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE TIME OF YOUR SHIFT AND HEAD TO THE GREEN DOWNTOWN TACOMA PARTNERSHIP TENT ON THE PLAZA TO CHECK IN. 

We have many volunteer opportunities available before, during, and after the festival.

This is a great opportunity to give back and connect with others in your community!

Volunteer groups from schools, community organizations, and companies are highly encouraged to participate.

What shifts are you available to volunteer?

August 3rd | Morning event set-up (9am - 11am):

Bring the Downtown Tacoma Block Party to life by helping set up for the day by putting up decorations, setting out tables and chairs, putting up signs, etc.


August 3rd | Daytime Greeter (2-hour shifts throughout the day: 1-3pm, 3-5pm, 5-7pm):

Spread some happiness and help us greet visitors to the Downtown Tacoma Block Party!

Greeters will be positioned at the entrances of the event, say hello & welcome, and point people in the right direction toward food, vendors, music, and more. 


August 3rd | Evening event tear-down (6pm - 8pm):

This shift is one of the most helpful to sign up for! As the event winds down, we’ll need extra hands to help wrap things up smoothly. Volunteers will assist with taking down decorations, tidying up any litter or debris, breaking down tables and chairs, and ensuring the event space is left clean and cared for. If you're looking for a high-impact way to contribute, this is it!
