Every year, we rely on a dedicated group of volunteers to assist us during our 6-week Summerbridge program.
Time Commitment: - July 1, 2019 to August 10, 2019 (includes Saturday, August 3rd and Saturday, August 10th). - Volunteers are expected to be available between the times of 7:30am to 3:30pm. - Mandatory volunteer orientation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019.
Responsibilities include: - Classroom SupportSubstitute Teaching FellowAssist teaching fellows in instructionLend-A-Hands (Activities/crafts that need to be done for lessons, events, and community building)Teaching Fellow Training- Student SupportAssist Office Associates in making sure each student is accounted for daily during arrival and dismissalBTP spirit ambassadorBus, bathroom, hall monitor (Assist students in transitioning to and from academic and enrichment blocks; Monitor hallways to assist students to restrooms and ensuring everyone safety)- Space MaintenanceEnsure clean program spacesSupport meal organizationEvent set-up and clean-upRecess set-up and clean-up- Weekly Special EventsSpirit Day, Pool Day, Olympics Day, College Day, Family & Alumni Day, Lock In, Arts Sciences Exploration (ASE) Day, Celebration (typically happens on either Wednesdays or Fridays)Duties will vary depending on the event but generally you will; Assist in preparing outdoor/indoor activities, Assist with tours, Be a greeter
