CoalitionWILD offers three main programs to youth worldwide, always for free. We are always looking for people to contribute to these programs in a variety of ways throughout the year. Please read the descriptions of each program below. Then complete the following question to share with us how you would like to get involved.
CoalitionWILD's mission is to connect and equip the world’s young change-makers to tackle our planet’s greatest conservation challenges.
Our vision is a world where younger generations are respected, valued, included, and supported to be active leaders and agents of change in creating a better future for the planet.
The CoalitionWILD EXCELerator program is an intensive 9-month leadership and capacity building training equipping emerging environmental leaders with the skills necessary to carry out action projects for the planet. Each participant is accepted based on their individually proposed idea of an environmental project they want to implement that will tackle an issue facing an ecosystem, their community, their culture, or their livelihood. Over 9-months, CoalitionWILD equips EXCELerator participants with the tools, support, and confidence needed to implement that idea. In doing that, we focus on the 3 Ps: Project Development, Personal Growth, and Professional Network.
The Mentorship program builds collaborative and cross generational relationships between emerging environmental leaders and veteran conservationists. Together, participants gain perspective, find community and connection, discover solutions and solidarity, and bridge the generational and cultural gaps in the environmental sector. Participants in the program are not required to complete a project, task, or reports. Rather, we encourage both the Mentor and Mentee to set personal and professional goals for their 12-month experience in the programme during their first two meetings. CoalitionWILD places an emphasis on co-learning, co-creating, and co-mentoring throughout the program, highlighting the importance of cross-generational interactions and conversations.
