ACT-W conferences run on the energy of our volunteers who care about empowering women and supporters in technology. The ACT-W Bay Area Conference is an action-packed event where talented women and allies can build skills, grow their community, and accelerate their career path. The conference includes speaking sessions, hands-on workshops, one-on-one coaching sessions, a career fair, and more!

As a volunteer, you’ll be a vital part of the conference and help to create a welcoming and outstanding conference experience for 150 participants from the Bay Area. The volunteer experience is a unique opportunity to participate in the conference activities. Volunteers will be responsible for various conference duties such as staffing the registration/information booth, crowd management, assisting speakers and pre-conference course instructors, and communicating information about the conference.

Volunteers should be able to commit to an orientation session the week before the conference (date TBD) and 1-2 volunteer shifts during the conference. People of all genders are welcome to volunteer. Volunteers will receive a free ticket to the remainder of ACT-W.
