I want to declare a major in Interdisciplinary Studies. I understand that the major consists of an interdisciplinary concentration (18-21 hours; see options below) plus at least 18 hours of Disciplinary Depth Coursework (DDC) in another field of study. I understand Interdisciplinary Studies strongly encourages the declaration of a minor for the DDC. Students may use in-depth coursework in a disciplinary field to create an individually designed major reflecting their own interests with approval from the Director of Interdisciplinary Studies, their Concentration Director, and/or the Undergraduate Coordinator after discussing options. A maximum of two courses (6 hours) from my disciplinary coursework can count toward the interdisciplinary concentration. If I am dropping another major, I understand that I will need to contact that department directly in order to drop their major. *
