Areyvut Homeschool Contract 24-25 Year

*By signing this contract and submitting my non-refundable registration fee to secure your child’s spot, I recognize that I am registering for a 10 month commitment. The registration fee (which is your monthly fee) will be held and will cover the 10th and final month of membership in June 2025. Committing to this program will allow us to secure the funds it takes to run this center as well as securing commitment to Areyvut and families for programming.
*Monthly supplies to be split between families, to be announced as needed.
*If you wish to suspend your membership before June 2025, please see Alexandra or Devory to determine your situation. Obviously, valid reasons such as a move or a change in homeschool status will be accepted without question.
*We encourage family tuition participation during the summer months to help cover rent for the entire school year. The monthly tuition for Areyvut is $250. Please note that these fees are considered a charitable donation and tax write off as well as providing access to the property for summer activities. Any classes on top of this has extra fees which will be provided.
*I agree to pay the full monthly tuition for Areyvut by the 1st of the month. By failing to pay by the agreed upon date, if not paid by the 4th an additional $25 charge will be incurred. If possible, to keep payments seamless, please set up autopay to zelle to Areyvut at am@ajelc.org. Direct deposit is also another option. Please see Devory to set this up.
*My spouse and I will read the entire Areyvut Parent and Student handbook provided and will discuss the handbook with our children. *Class Schedules for the Coop will be updated every Sunday by Alexandra.
*I understand and agree that one of us must remain on the premises the entire time and be responsible for my children regardless of their age, whenever they are participating in co-op and co-op activities, unless I have made prior arrangements with the leadership team and signed the proper temporary guardianship forms for my child(ren).
*I have read the Mission Statement and agree to respect it.
*I AGREE to pick up after my children everyday I come and keep the place orderly.
*No tinsel, glitter or items that are difficult to clean up outdoors (and that are not biodegradable) are allowed on the property.
*I will refrain from any gossip, unwholesome talk (including inappropriate language), or unwholesome behavior while at Areyvut or at an Aryevut event, even if I am only around other adults. It is imperative that we model good middos for our children so that they can mirror us.
*There will be absolutely no name calling or belittling of other kids within any of the pods or classes at Areyvut. If after speaking to the parent or instructors there is a problem that you see, please speak up. We have made an incident report form that can be filled out to document outstanding issues. The offense must be physical or verbal, and to the point that the other party is visibly affected and does not move on easily. The behavior you are reporting must be described. For example: Child X did such and such thing to child Y. Child Y’s response was such and such. Please refrain from using names to identify someone else's child.
*Please consider the time of the board members at Areyvut as they are ALL VOLUNTEERS. If you feel that you need to have this form filled out for an alleged offense, please kindly ask a board member when is a convenient time to document the alleged offense. They will get back to you within a reasonable time frame.
*I understand that Areyvut does not provide legal protection or legal assistance. Areyvut is also not obligated to testify regarding your homeschool’s validity, authenticity, or effectiveness to legal authorities or in court.
*Please do not send your child with a fever. They must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to Areyvut.
*Any emergencies a parent will be notified immediately. We have a first aid kit on the premises for minor injuries.
*I agree that my children will strive to regularly attend all classes for which I have registered. They will arrive on time, fully participate in the class and engage with other students and the instructor during class time.
*Dress code: It is of paramount importance that the children set a good example as Jewish homeschoolers. Our children should recognize that they are role models. Clothing should comply with Jewish guidelines of personal modesty. Closed toe shoes are highly encouraged, as we are on farm and there is a lot of physical outdoor play in sometimes muddy conditions.
*The child’s lunch should be supplied from home. It cannot be prepared or warmed up in the communal kitchen. Please send all snacks your child will need for the day and plenty of water as they are outside a lot. Allergenic foods may be eaten outside only.
*This center is located on a small farm, where kids will be outside a lot and they may come home muddy. Please dress them in clothing that you are fine with getting stained. They will wash their hands before they eat and other times during the day, but expect dirt in fingernails at times.
*Parental volunteering is required. Details to follow.
*Please do not post any photos/videos of children on any online social media pages without parental consent.
*I understand and agree that the Areyvut Leadership Team, Instructors, volunteers or the owners of the property will at no time be responsible for mishaps, injuries, or accidents that may occur during the year. We will read and sign the release of liability and submit the form before classes start for the homeschool year.
*I will remember that the parents involved on the leadership team are volunteers and are not being compensated for their time. I understand that their decisions are for the good of Areyvut as a whole and are always carefully considered.
*I understand that if anyone in my family (including parent) violates the rules, it will jeopardize our participation in the co- op and that Areyvut reserves the right to deny participation to any student or family.

GENERAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, EXPRESS ASSUMPTION OF RISKS, AND HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
In consideration of participating in the educational progrmas at the properties of Areyvut AJELC Corp farm located in Davie, Florida, offered throughout the year, I hereby agree as follows:
I, ___________________________(parent), of ______________________________(child, children) _____________________, ______________________, __________________ hereby release and hold harmless Areyvut AJELC, Corp, and their officers, directors, employees, representatives, agents, and volunteers (collectively, the “Releases”), from any and all liability and responsibility whatsoever, however caused, for any and all damages, claims, or causes of action that I, or my child may have for any loss, illness, personal injury, death, or property damage arising out of, connected with, or in any manner pertaining to the Tour/activity, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise.
I fully understand that there are potential risks and hazards associated with activities at Areyvut farm, including, but not limited to, possible injury or loss of life. Under Florida law, an agritourism operator is not liable for injury or death of or damages or loss to a participant. FLA statue 570.88-.89, I further understand that while on the enrichment activity, I may be visiting undeveloped locations and interacting with persons that are not associated with or under the control or supervision of the Releases. Despite the potential risks and hazards associated with the activity, I wish to proceed, and freely accept and assume all risks and hazards that may arise from my participation in the Tour/activity and that could result in loss, illness, personal injury, death, or property damage to me or to my property, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF RELEASEES or otherwise. I acknowledge that the activity is not a required component of Areyvut in which I am freely and voluntarily participating; and that I am in no way required to participate at Areyvut but do so by choice.
I further hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any judgment, settlement, loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorney fees for both the trial and appellate levels, that Releasees may incur as a proximate result of any negligent or deliberate act or omission on my part during my participation in the Tour.
In signing this agreement, I acknowledge and represent that I have read and understand it; that I sign it voluntarily and for full and adequate consideration, fully intending to be bound by the same; and that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and fully competent. I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT, UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO BE BOUND BY IT.
Parent or Legal Guardian of Child must sign for each child participating.
I AM THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF THE CHILD/CHILDREN AND I AM SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CHILD AND I OR A SCHOOL STAFF MEMBER WILL BE ACCOMPANYING THE CHILD ON THE TOUR/ACTIVITY.
