This quick form is to be filled out by 16-year-old campers who are interested in participating in the Senior-Counselor-in-Training Program at 4-H Camp Wabasso. Please note that filling out this form does not guarantee you a spot in the week of your choice, as space is very limited in this program. Applications are due by March 15th. After this deadline, campers will be assigned to the weeks that best fit their interests and camp's availability. You will be contacted by phone and email at this time.

What is the Senior-Counselor-in-in-Training (S-CIT) program?

The S-CIT program is for campers age 16 years old who are interested in developing their leadership skills while attending camp. This program is perfect for campers who are interested in working at camp in the future, but is also great for any camper who wants to build up their resume and gain some real job skills while at camp this summer! S-CIT's are still campers, but they get to take on a leadership role while at camp. They participate in leadership classes, help counselors with things like singing songs or leading group games, and get to shadow counselors in the different classes found at camp. S-CIT's attend camp at no cost, but they are also expected to help in ways our younger campers aren't able to.

Space is limited in the S-CIT program. If there is more interest in the program than there are spots available, a phone interview will be conducted with each applicant. All interested campers will hear back from Sabrina DeRue by March 21st with further information.

A CIT weekend will be held at 4-H Camp Wabasso March 28 - 30. The cost for this weekend will be $200 and will include a red cross first aid & CPR certification as well as meals and other materials. It is strongly encouraged that all S-CIT's attend this weekend. Will you be available to attend? *
