2018 WVMEA Professional Development Session Proposal
The annual West Virginia Music Educator's Association In-Service Conference will be held at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV on March 8 and 9, 2018. Submissions received prior to October 28, 2017 will be considered and presented at the fall WVMEA Executive Board meeting. Those selected to present will be notified shortly thereafter.

Are you eligible to receive an honorarium?
WVMEA Conference Honorarium Policy: WVMEA Executive Board-approved clinicians, including non-NAfME and/or non-WVMEA members, are eligible to receive or decline a $250.00 honorarium only if they do not have outside sponsorship. (Honorarium is based per-session, not per- presenter.) Sponsored WVMEA Executive Board-approved clinicians, including corporate or educational clinicians, are not eligible for an honorarium. WVMEA Executive Board-approved clinicians, who are WVMEA/NAfME members, will receive free conference registration in-lieu of an honorarium. Presenters who teach music in West Virginia, regardless of residency, teaching either in public, private, or in higher education must be a WVMEA member in good standing in order to be eligible to present.

WVMEA will not provide laptop computers or tablets. Please note that if your are bringing an Apple product, you will be responsible for bringing the compatible adapter. Hand-outs and copies of materials are the responsibility of the clinician. Please check all of the following materials that you will need for your presentation:
Data Projector with wiring for PCs, no compatible adapters for Apple products will be provided.
Orff Instruments (which includes basic hand held percussion)
I will not need any special equipment that I do not plan to bring myself.

WVMEA professional development sessions will be offered on Thursday, March 8 and Friday, March 9, 2018. Please indicate which day would best meet your scheduling needs.
