Racial Equity Practices and Resources
At Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee, we stand in solidarity with those fighting against systematic racism and the oppression of black people.
We look forward to hearing from you regarding ways we can work to prevent racism, as well as your recommendations for how we can better collaborate with and advocate for communities of color.
What are your thoughts and/or recommendations to improve our work with communities of color?
Currently, fewer than 15% of our mentors identify as people of color, while about half of our mentees are of color. How can we work to improve this number and recruit more diverse Bigs?
