RSVP: What is Science Diplomacy?
Are you interested in learning about alternative careers in science? What exactly does a career in science diplomacy look like? What is the typical day to day? And how do you prepare for your future career?
Joining us to answer your questions on science diplomacy is Dr. Franklin Carrero-Martínez, who is the Senior Director of Global Policy and Development & Science and Technology for Sustainability (STS) at the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). Dr. Carrero-Martínez has worked at the NSF supporting their diplomatic and representational obligations. He has also worked as the senior science adviser to the Secretary of State, providing guidance and strategic planning on foreign policy surrounding emerging technology.
Discussion will be held in BRB 252 (2nd floor, Biomedical Research Building II/III, 421 Curie Boulevard Philadelphia PA, 19104) from 12pm-1:30pm.
