Conference Subcommittee Descriptions
All positions will have guidance from the LICSPA Executive Board and conference committee to complete duties as outlined. Conference Committee members are asked to attend designated Conference Committee meetings on a monthly basis, participate in subcommittee conference calls, and communicate regularly with Conference Chair via email/phone as needed. All Conference Committee members are expected to arrive at least one hour early to the Annual Conference.
Assessment Subcommittee | Develop, manage, and promote workshop and overall conference evaluation system. Arrange moderators for workshops who will introduce presenters and remind participants to complete their evaluations. Summarize data from workshop and conference assessments and assist in communication of assessment data to LICSPA members and presenters.
Awards Subcommittee | Develop and manage award nomination form and criteria and promote to colleagues and LICSPA membership. Oversee awards selection process and present awards at the Annual Conference with LICSPA E-Board.
Educational Workshop Subcommittee | Develop, manage, and advertise education workshop proposal system and criteria. Collaborate on workshop proposal selection to ensure workshops fit the conference theme and represent a wide variety of topics, functional areas, and institutions. Communicate with selected presenters and facilitators to clarify presentation descriptions, learning outcomes, and A/V requirements.
Logistics Subcommittee | Work with the conference chair on day-of logistics including setups, traffic flow, catering, Conference Happy Hour and more.
Sponsorship & Raffles Subcommittee | Communicate with past and new potential vendors and sponsors to solicit raffles for conference and/or monetary sponsorship for LICSPA. Organize vendor fair at Annual Conference, staying in contact with vendors and sponsors regarding Conference details and logistics.
Registration Subcommittee | Organize and manage registration process for the Annual Conference, including online registration and day-of check-in and walk-in registration table. Create and distribute name tags and ribbons for conference attendees and presenters.
