NAMI Peer Class Participant Registration (Sept-Oct 2022)
NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 8-session educational program for people with mental health challenges that is evidenced-based. NAMI Peer-to-Peer is taught by NAMI-trained individuals with mental health conditions. Class includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, August 24, 2022.

Dates: 8 Consecutive Tuesdays from September 13 to November 1, 2022 from 6:30-8:30pm.

To get a Certificate of Completion, you can only miss one class. A Certificate of Completion is required if you decide you want to be a Peer-to-Peer Teacher.


Registration Process:

1. Submit this Interest Form  by Deadline: Wednesday, September 7, 2022 

2. Schedule and complete 15-minute Virtual or Phone One-on-One with the Program Coordinator/Class Teacher about content and expectations using this link: https://doodle.com/bp/153268421/one-on-one-or-interview-w-nami-snv-program-coordinator
(Last day to meet for One-on-One is Thursday, September 8, 2022)

3. Submit Mailing Address and Emergency Contact Information (Link given during One-on-One)



Class Topics include:
1. Understanding mental health conditions and treatments
2. Setting vision and goals /building habits
3. Partnering with health care providers
4. Developing confidence in making decisions
5. Learning relaxation and stress
6. Strengthening relationships
7. Enhancing communication skills
8. Moving to recovery
