Application to be an OPA Participant
Thanks so much for your interest in the Open Post Academics Program. This application is designed to get to know you and your goals to see if the program is a good fit.

Open Post Academics (OPA) is an 8-week online mentorship and training program hosted in connection with Mozilla’s Open Leadership program. The program will run from January 16th until March 5th and meetings will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:30pm Pacific Standard Time (US/Canad)

This mentorship program will equip folks with a Ph.D. to work openly outside of academia. We’re looking for folks in the social sciences and humanities to build open projects that will allow them to share their expertise and skills openly. This is a pilot program and is provided without cost to the first cohort. All of our mentors will be volunteering their time.

A participant in Open Post Academics is someone interested in sharing their knowledge and expertise in order to support a healthy Internet. Over the course of the program, participants will:
* Receive ongoing 1:1 support.
* Expand their networks and gain access to a community of mentors and experts who will support their work.
* Complete modules and provide feedback on Open Post Academic materials that share best practices for translating skills from academia into the wider world and how to apply those skills to problems outside of academia.
* Get practical experience sharing skills and expertise openly.
