Recology Field Trip
The Recology Field Trip is designed to complement the 4th-grade curriculum with a free tour of the San Francisco Transfer Station. Through a one-hour classroom session of games and activities, students learn about the differences between linear and circular systems, and practice properly sorting materials into the three bins. To follow, students visit the Recology Art Studios, Antique Truck Room, Transfer Station, Organics Annex, and Public Reuse and Recycling Area. This sensory and engaging tour teaches students what happens to the materials they dispose of and the importance of reducing, reusing, composting, and recycling.

After submitting this form, our team will reach back out to you to schedule programming and provide additional information and materials.
