This progressive filter can suggest strings that are appropriate for your bass and your playing style.  It's not an exact prescription - many factors can affect the way the strings work on your bass.  Please note that in nearly every case, changing brands of strings will also require a sound post adjustment and a break-in period of as much as 2 weeks before you really discover what the strings will do.  The best gear sometimes poses a challenge to your technique (example, strings that require high precision with bow placement/weight, but which reward you with lightning-fast response).  Not every string brand is on the list of recommendations - just those which we feel we can wholeheartedly recommend for the purpose.  There are many more choices - see our String Characteristics chart for more.
