HCSA Volunteer Registration
HCSA is a Nonprofit Sports Association. All Staff and Coaches are all Volunteers. In no way does any individual at any level or position profit from this organization. All proceeds from registration, donations and sponsors go to the needs of the association to sustain, maintain, register, (re)certify hardware, electrical, training/game equipment and gear to include insurance and other miscellaneous expenditures. All expenses are documented and are open for public audits and questioning from the HCSA treasurer

To our HCSA Volunteers, Families and Friends
The HCSA family is very much involved our local community. We would like to thank our HCSA volunteers, friends and families for your countless dedicating time and involvement in our children’s health and fitness. You have provided an amazing support throughout our seasons together setting the example and creating priceless memories for our players. We thank our amazing parents/guardians/friends/ family, who brought us to where we are today.

Background Screening
As a volunteer you MAY be subject to a background investigation.
 
The majority of youth sports organizations require volunteers to undergo some form of screening to ensure that the children affected by a youth sports organizations receive the highest quality experience, the organization has the responsibility to select the most qualified individuals (those who understand the organization’s goals and who will not create additional risks for the organization). Also and equally important, the organization must exclude individuals that have certain criminal histories or who may increase the level of acceptable risk to the organization overall.  
 
The following components MAY be included to thoroughly (or comprehensively) screen potential volunteers:
       Review Information and Check References that are provided in this volunteer’s application form.
       Interview the potential volunteer.
       Conduct a Criminal History Background Check MAY include the following components:
              Drivers License/ Government ID/ Passport Verification
              Social Security Number (SSN) and name verification.
              Sex Offender Registry Search (SOR)
              National Criminal Database search.
              A County or Statewide Criminal search when applicable
 
What DISQUALIFIES a potential volunteer?  
       An applicant provides inaccurate information in their application  
       Unpleasant or disturbing information about the potential volunteer  
       Information gathered in the interview raises questions about the potential volunteer’s motives
       The volunteer refuses to complete the screening process
       If an applicant is found to have been convicted of any of the following offenses:
              Sex Offenses and Misconduct
              Violent Felonies
              Felonies (other than sex or violence related) within the past 10 years
              Any child abuse or domestic violence convictions
              Misdemeanors within the past seven years
 
As a Organizations we will determine if offenses will eliminate a potential volunteer. Additionally, pending convictions and/or arrests for the above items will be considered as organizations determine volunteer eligibility.  
 
Confidentiality is important! All information obtained in response to the criminal background check or disclosed in the review process will be kept confidential and not disclosed or discussed outside of the review process. Criminal history files will be maintained separate from any file accessible to the public or unauthorized personnel.

Please Return Gear Rental's at the end the season
To keep the cost of registration/gear rental's lower. Please return any rented HCSA/Legion/Tigers gear, as we do need it to sustain our association and keep registration and rental fees low for the next season. We keep cost low by collecting our gear back, thoroughly inspecting, repairing and (re)certifying if needed. We save by not having to replace broken, lost, or stolen gear in our Association
