The COS Financial Aid Office will host a free
Student Financial Aid Assistance Workshop for our UPHS students/parents on
Thursday, March 14, 2024. The workshop will begin promptly at
6:00 pm-7:00 pm. The
workshop will take place in the
Yokut Building - Room 8.
At this workshop, you will have hands-on assistance with filling out and submitting your financial aid application. Mario Cruz - COS Financial Aid Student Support Specialist, and his team members will be available to help and assist with your application.
*It is recommended that students and parents have their FSA ID accounts created before the workshop and have begun to fill out the FAFSA / DREAM ACT application*
Students and parents, please bring the following documents to the workshop:
- Student and Parent FSA ID Account login information
- Social Security number (if applicable)
- Driver's license numbers (if applicable)
- Alien Registration number if you are not a U.S. Citizen (if applicable)
- 2022 Federal Tax Returns for parent / student
- IRS form 1040
- Foreign tax returns, IRS 1040NR or IRS 1040NR-EZ
- Parents' child support received, interest income, veterans non-education benefits for student and parents
- Information on cash savings, saving and checking account balances, investments, including stocks and bonds and real estate, business, and farm assets.
*California Now Requires All High School Grads to Complete the FAFSA / CADAA. UPHS Students planning to attend any college (including COS) are encouraged to participate in this event to get a head start on the financial aid process. (FAFSA / CADAA is needed even for school scholarships to determine eligibility).
