WORKSHOP : Climate Crisis & Mental Health - An Invisible Link
Think City is organising the first Penang Climate Action Week (PCAW) from 16 to 24 November to raise awareness on climate change in Penang.
The World Health Organisation regards climate change as “the greatest threat to global health in the 21st Century”.
When you think about climate change, mental health might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Singaporeans and Malaysians are beginning to grow familiar with climate change and its health impacts. However, the connections with mental health are not often part of the discussion. It is time to expand information and action on climate and health, including mental health. The health, economic, political, and environmental implications of climate change affect all of us. The tolls on our mental health are far reaching.
The workshop will aim on understanding the causal link between climate change and mental health. Furthermore, you’ll be able to sit down and brainstorm the possible action to take to preserve the environment as well as managing you mental wellbeing.
