You are invited! Join Pianist Mayu Harada for a Finnish Music Concert
Join us to celebrate the 100th anniversary of independence of Finland with a summer afternoon concert for families and children at 3pm and an evening concert for all at 7pm.

Mayu Harada was born in 1988 in Fukuoka, Japan. She started to play the piano at the age of 5. She graduated from TOHO Gakuen College in 2007 and TOHO Gakuen School of Music in 2011. During this period, she continued to perform both domestically and internationally, winning numerous competitions including the 'Great Wall of China Cup' in 2009.

Mayu continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy in Finland, taking part in masterclasses with Paavali Jumppanen, Denis Pascal and Théodore Paraskivesco. In 2016 she performed at Camerata Hall in Helsinki Music Center, which was broadcasted at the Euroclassical Online Festival 2016. Soon after she held a solo concert in Japan, titled "Finnish Wind", where she played music by famous Finnish and Japanese composers, including Jean Sibelius. She ended her successful year by performing "Three Moominvalley melodies for piano ©Moomin Characters™", composed by Heikki Mäenpää.

Children and adults will enjoy Mayu's solo performance at our kindergarten during two sessions.

Her repertoire includes piano compositions by:

Mozart: Twinkle little star variations, Turkish March
Jean Sibelius: 5 pieces inluding: Finlandia, Kuusi, Waltz triste

Evening performance includes a glass of wine and/or soft drinks. Children are also welcome during the evening concert
