This Exemption Form is related to the Exemption Procedure in the Administrative Policy on Accessibility of Digital Content and Information Technology

Form Instructions 

Please submit this form to request an exemption to the accessibility standard set forth in the Administrative Policy on Accessibility of Digital Content and Information Technology (the Policy) when the following two elements are present:

  • you would like to purchase or make available digital content or information technology for use in University services, programs, and activities; and

  • the digital content or information technology does not meet the accessibility standard required by the Policy.

You do not need to submit this form if the digital content or information technology at issue is covered by one of the following exemptions described in the Administrative Procedure: Exemptions from Accessibility Standard Requirements for Certain Digital Content and Information Technology (the Procedure):

  • exemption for archived web content; 

  • exemption for individualized documents that are password-protected; 

  • exemption for pre-existing conventional electronic documents; 

  • exemption for pre-existing social media posts; or

  • exemption for certain content posted by a third-party.

If one of these bulleted exemptions applies, you do not need to submit this form.  Instead, follow the steps described in the Procedure.
