LIFT Training Request
Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH), a program of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA), is accepting requests to hold a FREE CME-accredited training about human trafficking at your institution. Learn, Identify, Fight Trafficking (LIFT) training is a four-hour continuing medical education (CME) course that equips healthcare professionals to identify and assist patients who have been trafficked. 4.0 PRA Category 1 CME credits are assigned to physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and social workers who attend this FREE training.
1) describe the scope and prevalence of human trafficking in the United States
2) recognize the warning signs that raise suspicion for possible trafficking victimization
3) incorporate screening of suspected victims of trafficking into routine practice
4) clinically evaluate and treat any patient suspected of being trafficked
Each training includes a panel discussion by local nonprofit and governmental agencies that serve victims of trafficking.
Please note that trainings will be scheduled no sooner than three months from the date of request.
