AWW 2018 Mentor Volunteer, Room Lead, & Bus Escort Signup
Dream Project invites high school seniors to come to the UW campus for one intensive day of college application work. Admissions Workshop Weekend (AWW) is the Dream Project’s largest event of the academic year-- around 500 high school students hailing from the greater Puget Sound area participate during the one-day event. Students may arrive at AWW at any point in their post-secondary planning, be it their college applications or thinking about their options. We aim to provide a productive, encouraging environment and a myriad of resources so each student may achieve their best. Dream Project mentors, college admissions counselors, college representatives, and writing tutors will all be present to assist students as they consider and complete college applications and scholarships.

As a volunteer, you will be supporting mentees working on personal statements, resumes, and other college application essays. We ask that you come with an open mind and positive attitude, and we thank you so much for taking your time to support these students in reaching their post-secondary goals.

When: Saturday, October 27th 9am-4pm

Mentor Volunteer Shifts:
- Morning: 8:00am-12:00pm
- Afternoon: 12:30pm-4:30pm
- ALL DAY 8:00am-4:00pm (Lunch provided)

Where: Mary Gates Hall, UW Seattle Campus

This event requires a lot of support from Dream Project mentors-- especially for bus escorts and room leads! As bus leads or room leads, this entails attending a short orientation before AWW as well as being available at the following times you indicate.

As far as room leading goes, a room lead shift is a full day shift which fulfills the required event assignment (lunch provided). You would be expected to be present at AWW from 8am-4pm. Additional details will be provided in a follow-up email.

Please contact Nesley ( with any concerns, questions, or suggestions. Thank you!
