The latest iteration of the Rome Civil Society Declaration on SDG16+, "A Compass for Navigating through the Geopolitical Storm", is launched today, May 12th, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Building on the foundations of previous editions, this year’s Declaration holds particular significance as it emerges amid profound global turmoil. At a time when accelerating progress towards the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is more critical than ever, we call on organizations to endorse and support the 2025 Declaration in order to amplify its impact, strengthen collective advocacy, and help ensure that commitments to peace, justice, and inclusive governance are translated into tangible action.
