Open youth centers offer non-formal education activities for young people aged 7-26. Youth centres follow the principles of open youth work- they permit open access to all youth, diverse opportunities for leisure time, support for young people and their ideas, space for socializing and partnership. You will be able to co-create your own volunteering journey and contribute with your ideas and skills. We'd like you to start your volunteering experience in March 2019 and stay for 6-12 months.
Currently we are looking for volunteers for the European Solidarity Corps volunteering project:
1) Keila youth centre: Start ASAP (duration: up to 9 months)https://www.facebook.com/Keila.Noortekeskus/ (Location: Keila, Estonia)
2) Haljala youth centre: Start ASAP (duration: up to 10 months)https://www.facebook.com/Haljala.Noortekeskus/ (Location: Haljala, Estonia)
3) Saue youth centre: Start ASAP (duration: up to 12 months)https://www.facebook.com/sauenoortekeskus/ (Location: Saue, Estonia)
NB! This time, the vacancies are open for participants from: Germany, Finland, Macedonia, Portugal, Greece and Poland! We already have sending organisations identified from these countries.

The exact beginning and durations of the services can be modified according to your availability.
Tasks of volunteers in youth centres:
- To be a helpful hand in the local team of youth workers- Spend time in the open space communicating with youngsters with different background visiting the youth center, helping to find their interest and to encourage them to realize their ideas- Contribute to the activities of the youth center and initiate new ones - Communicate and collaborate with different partners in the youth center and community- Foster intercultural dialogue, diversity and human rights- Introduce one’s culture, traditions and language in creative and engaging way - Contribute with and/ or build up on one’s interest and skills, may that be cooking, media, crafts, (extreme) sports, theatre, environment etc… Bring your own ideas into life!
If you decide to volunteer, you will be granted:
+ Reimbursement of international transport costs according to budget rules+ Comprehensive insurance + Accommodation+ Work-related transport+ Monthly pocket money (4€ per each day of your volunteering service)+ Monthly food allowance (6€ per each day of your volunteering service)+ Online Estonian language course+ On-arrival and mid-term trainings and other meetings with other international volunteers+ Work related training and preparation in youth centre+ Tutor to instruct you at work+ Mentor - a friend outside from your working place to assist you with life in the hosting society+ A life full of new experiences! :)
