Application: Sonoma RCD Appointment to Groundwater Sustainability Agency Advisory Committee - Sonoma Valley
The newly-formed Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (Agency) is forming an Advisory Committee to advise the Agency Board of Directors (Agency Board) on groundwater sustainability plan development and implementation and Agency policies. The intent of the committee is to provide community perspective and participation in the Agency.

As a member of the Agency, the Sonoma Resource Conservation District (RCD) will appoint one member to the Advisory Committee, who will serve a two-year term. The RCD is seeking applications from stakeholders in the Sonoma Valley groundwater basin who are interested in serving on the Committee. To be eligible for appointment, applicants must live or work within or represent an organization with a presence in the Sonoma Valley Groundwater Basin, identified by the Department of Water Resources current Bulletin 118.

In addition to the Committee members appointed by each of the six Member Agencies (Sonoma RCD, City of Sonoma, County of Sonoma, North Bay Water District, Sonoma County Water Agency, and Valley of the Moon Water District), the Advisory Committee will also consist of six members appointed by the Agency Board: environmental representative (from an organization with a presence in the Basin), rural residential well owner, business community representative, agricultural interest (surface water or groundwater user), at-large community representative (hydrologist/geologist preference), at-large community representative. Individuals interested in serving on the Advisory Committee are encouraged to apply both to the Sonoma RCD (using this form) and to the Agency Board (using the link provided below).
