There are several jobs for volunteers from working door, helping with the slams through time/score keeping, hosting, active listening, and much more. The bulk of our volunteer positions take place during the festival, but we also have some important pre-festival tasks that can start as soon as August. We will ask you about your availability and choice of roles as part of the application.
CFSW volunteers receive perks depending on their role and the number of 2-3 hour shifts they take on. In general, but with some exceptions:
2+ shifts = one ticket to finals4+ shifts = one ticket to finals plus one ticket to another festival event (workshop, showcase, etc.)6+ shifts = festival pass (includes 1 workshop)
We're happy to sign off on hours for any volunteer requirements you're currently looking to complete.
