Alderwood Elementary PTA Executive Board Member Application/Interest 2026-2027 
Thank you for your interest in applying for a position with the Alderwood Elementary PTA Executive Board.  We sincerely appreciate you volunteering your time to make Alderwood Elementary the best possible school for our children!  Currently we are looking to have enthusiastic volunteers like yourself to join the Board for the following positions: Financial Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Parliamentarian and Auditor.  A high level summary of each position is below.

  • Financial Secretary - Handle/deposit of incoming funds (cash, checks) at the bank,  recordkeeping entries in Membership Toolkit and maintain an independent log of funds (cash, checks) received. 

  • Corresponding Secretary - Manage meeting invites and correspondence between PTA Executive Board, school administration via email and social media.

  • Parliamentarian -  Serve as neutral guide for meeting rules and PTA bylaws. Support nominating committee for next year's Board.

  • Auditor - Conduct twice a year audit of financial records (January, August). Provide a formal report to Executive Board that PTA funds are managed responsibly.
