The 26th Annual San Diego Festival of Beer is hosted annually by the San Diego Professionals Against Cancer (SDPAC) to raise money for cancer research and treatment. SDPAC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization made up of 100% volunteer (no paid staff.) Without volunteers like yourself, this event would not happen. We need a few generous volunteers to donate a few hours on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm located at the entire Broadway Pier (Broadway Ave & 1000 N. Harbor Drive, Downtown SD) in beautiful Downtown San Diego. THIS IS A VERY POPULAR EVENT with around 2,000-3,000 participates attending!! Sign up ASAP to secure your spot! In the prior year, SDPAC donated $55,000 and found a matching sponsor for $30,000... to donate a TOTAL of $85,000 in the fight against cancer from this one-night event. SDPAC has donated over $740,000 (so far) to local charity organizations WITH YOUR HELP! Let's keep it going.

We're looking for a few volunteers to help setting up at the beer
festival. Tasks include checking in vendor, distributing ice, greeting and
placing breweries & vendors, traffic control, unboxing glassware, pour
beer, volunteer check-in,... in 4-5 hour increments.
Please email carri@sdpac.org directly for a few special team leader & volunteer committee opportunities in the months prior to the event (including logistics, creating event maps, beer wranglers, creative leaders, vendor coordinating, public relations, insurance coordinator,...) Great way to get extra experience.
All volunteers must be at least 21 years old and attend an ABC-training orientation session to be present during the event, which will be given at the start of your beer pouring shift. Beer pouring volunteers are unfortunately not allowed to consume alcohol during their pouring shift. Volunteers can select from a number of areas / positions. See below. Please check your preferences from the lists below. Food and drinks will be provided before you shift.
