The Power of Dialogue: Deconstructing the Rural-Urban Divide - 2020 Application
Thank you for your interest in joining The Power of Dialogue: Deconstructing the Rural-Urban Divide, a 4-week immersive dialogue experience that brings together faculty and students from four different universities and a mix of ideological and socioeconomic backgrounds to
     • build dialogue skills needed for navigating contentious issues, and
     • develop the cultural dexterity students need to serve as a bridge between rural and urban communities. Through weekly evening group dialogue and skill building sessions, one-on-one conversations, and short activities in between, students explore complex issues that define the rural-urban divide and uncover commonalities.

This opportunity is limited to undergraduate students who are currently enrolled at Georgetown University, Radford University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University. To participate in this experience, students must be available online Wednesday nights (7-9pm ET) on the weeks of September 16, 23, 30, and October 7. In between online sessions, students will watch a short video and participate in a 1-on-1 call with an assigned partner from a different university.

*APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY FRIDAY, AUGUST 21 AT 5:00PM ET* All application responses will be used for recruitment purposes only and will be kept confidential.
