Interest Form: Testify in April
On April 9th at 10:30 am, the Every Voice bills will receive a hearing before the Massachusetts legislature's Joint Committee on Higher Education for the THIRD TIME since they were originally filed in 2015. We've had an entire generation of college students graduate college without receiving the protections they deserve - join us to tell the legislature that it's time to act on campus sexual violence, because our students can't wait.

If you're interested in joining us to support survivors and call for change, please take 30 seconds to sign up here so we can get a sense of numbers for transportation and logistics. By signing up here, you will be notified about transportation options, as well as any schedule changes if for any reason the dates are moved.

To all those who say students don't care, won't organize, and won't show up - we'll see you at the State House!!

Please also note that even if you can't testify or don't feel comfortable testifying personally, you are absolutely welcome and encouraged to show up at the State House to support your friends and other members of the community as they testify. And if you can't make it in to the State House for any reason at all, there is also the opportunity to submit written testimony (even a few sentences helps, and you don't have to be an expert on the issue at all!).

Let's get these bills passed!!!

Will you be able to join us at the State House on April 9? *
Are you interested in testifying on April 9? *
It sounds intimidating, but testifying can simply mean talking for 1-2 minutes about why this issue is important to you, and you don't have to be an expert whatsoever - legislative testimony is open to all members of the public, who are encouraged to come in and share their perspectives! Every Voice will also provide examples of past student testimony and remarks, as well as a brief legislative testimony training, for those who may be interested.
Are you interested in submitting written testimony? *
If so, we will follow up with instructions on when and how to submit written testimony. Even a few sentences helps - we want all perspectives to be heard - and remember that you can submit BOTH in-person AND written testimony.
