HYPERBOREA 2020 Theme Camp Registration
A Theme Camp is a group of participants that choose to camp together and use their camp-site to enhance the landscape and experience of HYPERBOREA, for the entire event community. Playful and participatory, a good theme camp will create an ambiance, a visual presence, and provide a communal space or activity as a gift.
Criteria for registration:
1) Camps must be interactive. They should include activities, events or services within their camps and they must be available to the entire HYPERBOREA community.
2) Camps should be visually stimulating and have an inviting design, while maintaining safety and MOOP regulation (MOOP is Matter Out of Place, or in other words: garbage, debris, leftovers, costume pieces, polluted water, etc.
3) Camps must be neighbourly. This includes keeping sound within set limits, controlling where camp generators vent exhaust, and being receptive to solving any disputes that arise.
Theme Camps MUST register to have reserved placement and/or if they will be playing music from amplified speakers. Theme camps the register within the first two rounds (stated below) will be eligible for Directed Sales tickets (tickets guaranteed to certain number of participants responsible for running the camp) outside of the ticket lottery.
Camp registration will run from November 29th to April 30th. At the end of the day on April 30th, the registration form will close and we will begin finalizing all of the received details up to that point. Registered camps will be asked additional info throughout the registration process, and after registration closes, to make sure we design our Hyperborean city as best as possible.
