HIESTAND WOODS PARK
The Van Wert County Foundation owns and maintains the Hiestand Woods Park located at 1519 Hospital Drive, Van Wert. This property was established in 1945 as a way to ensure the preservation of the wooded portion of the Hiestand family farm property and provide recreation access for the boy and girl scouts. Today, the property is available to the public for use. Many residents use Hiestand Woods for many outdoor recreations from family picnics to school cross country meets.
