In addition to the above perks and expectations, we will open up additional opportunities to our Ambassadors before they are released to the public. These additional opportunities may include pre-race interviews and news stories, merchandise giveaways, Pace Team invitations, sponsor product giveaways and inclusion in special race weekend events. Our Ambassadors serve as both race representatives and our consulting team – we look to you for feedback, tips, and new ideas!

**NOTE: Social Networking not your thing? There are Race Weekend Staff positions available for those that are not so socially savvy but want to be part of the race happenings and get perks for being involved with the event. (Start/finish line coordinator, Volunteer coordinator, Entertainment Coordinator, Race Expo Outreach Coordinator, Retail Coordinator, Expo Coordinator and more!) Email events@idaph.net if you would like to be considered for a Race Staff Role.

All Ambassadors will be featured on The Asheville Marathon at Biltmore Estate website. Chosen applicants will have a profile, photo, and opportunity to connect with other runners through social media, meet-up runs, and more! You will have the opportunity to lead and guide new and inexperienced runners through their training process, motivate and inspire our runners, and share your story!

We encourage frequent communication and love to hear about your running goals and accomplishments.

Please note that Ambassadors are NOT financially compensated in any way. This is strictly and purely a volunteer role, not employee, freelance, or contractor. We do not subsidize travel or training expenses or issue payment of any kind to our team. The Ambassadors serve from July to April, though Ambassadors are encouraged to reapply if they wish to continue on future years.

The Asheville Marathon at Biltmore Estate reserves the right to remove any Ambassador from the team at any time due to poor conduct, poor sportsmanship, a display of negative behaviors and/or failure to perform duties. If an ambassador decides to forego being an AMA prior to the event taking place, they forfeit any prizes or comp entries to the race.

Does being an Asheville Marathon Ambassador sound like something for you? Fill out this form and get your chance to experience a new kind of fun this year. :)
