The scrip program involves the purchase of buying $6,000 worth of scrip cards through BPY (the no-cost way to eliminate your obligation) from supermarkets and stores that you already shop at - likely on a weekly basis. The cards are purchases at the amount of the face value and they have no expiration dates, no fees, and are no hassle. Popular stores that accept scrip include Glatt Express, Grand & Essex, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Bed, Bath & Beyond, CVS, Walgreen's and the Gap. There are many other stores that participate in the program so please contact the business office if you would like to see if you can request cards from other stores. Five percent of every dollar you spend goes BPY.
If you don't spend $6,000 in scrips, then the remaining balance is pro-rated. You will be charged 5% of your remaining scrip "balance". IE. If you bought $5,000 of scrip by May 1, 2019, you will be billed, through your TADS account, $50 (5% of the remaining $1,000). If you do not wish to participate in the program, you may choose to opt out at a cost of $300.
The process of how to order scrips will be sent out over the summer.
The scrip year begins on August 1, 2018 and ends May 1, 2019. Please indicate at the bottom of this form if you plan on purchasing scrips or opting out of the program.
