You are not obligated to buy anything. The registration form simply provides SIREN with the initial information to help you decide whether to go solar. The purpose of each piece of information is explained. At a later stage, if you decide you want to get a quote from an installer, you will be asked to sign a non-binding Letter of Intent. You will also be asked to supply information about how much electricity you use and some details about your house or place of business. This 2018 program includes owners in Bloomington, Monroe County and surrounding counties (Brown, Greene, Lawrence, Morgan, Orange and Owen). Participation is open to both Duke Energy and REMC customers.
The City of Bloomington collaborates with SIREN on this program to further demonstrate its support for renewable energy. See https://bloomington.in.gov/sustainability/solarize for details. NOTE: THE CITY DOES NOT SUBSIDIZE PURCHASES.
SIREN acts as a technical advisor on a non-profit, volunteer basis. SIREN and its volunteers are not paid in any way. For more details on SIREN’s mission, visit https://www.sirensolar.orgData collected in this and other Solarize forms are used by a limited number of SIREN volunteers and City employees to process your interest in the Solarize Program. We will not share your data with the assigned installer until you provide written permission by signing a Letter of Intent.
