Code Nation (
www.codenation.org) equips students in under-resourced high schools with the skills, experiences and connections that together create access to careers in technology.
Our program starts with a Foundations course, a twice-weekly web development class held on-site at your school and taught by professional web and software developers on a volunteer basis. Students who complete the first-year course are eligible to enroll in advanced courses that take place after-school at companies' offices, and paid summer internships where they can gain professional coding experience and work with role models in the field.
Our program is a full year program, spanning 2 continuous semesters (September-June). We expect an enrollment of at least 20 and no more than 30 students for this full course. Our Foundations course is intended for sophomores and juniors.
