KotoriCon Dealers Room Vendor Application; 2020 Theme is "SPORTS"

No applications will be accepted before August 1, 2019 or after September 15, 2019 unless you are strictly a food dealer.

This is a two day convention, January 10th-11th, 2020. The building that hosts the Vendors will only be open from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM on Saturday, January 11 (Friday night will be reserved for early unloading and registration). We have tickets capped at 1,500 attendees.

KotoriCon Dealers applications are reviewed by a committee and successful applicants are informed in October. It is NOT a first-come first-served process. Your items should be related to our attendees interests which include Asian culture, anime, manga, comics/cartoons, or our annual theme. No 18+ material is allowed in KotoriCon's Dealers Room. In addition, items containing live steel, or weapons of any kind will not be permitted for sale at KotoriCon. The review committee's decisions are final. We reserve the right to select an assortment of vendors that we feel are the best fit for KotoriCon. Once the decision has been made we will maintain a waiting list in case spaces open up (the waiting list is not ranked because it depends on the type of dealer we need to fill the space).

If successful, the deadline to pay for your table by November 15 or it will be offered to someone on the waiting list. A booth in our Dealers Room is $140. A Block is a 10'x10' area in our Dealers Room with 2 (3ft) tables, 2 chairs and 2 complimentary passes. You may purchase one or two blocks (An optional Discounted Price of $110 for a 10'x10' area is conditional on providing the equivalent of $30 in donation that will go to prizes or our Charity Auction). Along with your acceptance, please regularly check emails for information regarding vending at KotoriCon.

Please note that purchase of a booth means you will abide by the rules and regulations on our website http://kotoricon.org and you agree that pictures taken of you at KotoriCon can be used for promotion. Pictures may also be taken of the Dealers Room by attendees.
You should only sell legitimate licensed materials and be able to tell us who the suppliers are if questions arise. KotoriCon reserves the right to deem items unsuitable for sale and may request the item in question be removed.

You also agree to collect required taxes and follow state and federal regulations regarding your sales. Each Dealer will need to register to collect sales tax in NJ. New Jersey law requires all Dealers, even “one-time” Dealers, to register with the State for tax purposes at least 15 business days before starting business, and to collect New Jersey sales tax on all sales of taxable tangible personal property or services. There are no special provisions for temporary Dealers. Once registered, you must file all required returns until you properly end your tax registration with New Jersey. File Form NJ-REG (Business Registration Application) to register with the State to collect/remit New Jersey taxes such as sales tax or employee withholdings, and to obtain a New Jersey tax identification number. You can register online or file a paper application. For additional information on registering your business visit the Division of Revenue’s website at http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/revenue/gettingregistered.shtml. Also see publications ANJ-11, Arts & Crafts Businesses and New Jersey Sales Tax, ANJ-15, Flea Markets & New Jersey Sales Tax, and ANJ-13, Ending Your Tax Registration in New Jersey, available at the Division’s Sales and Use Tax Publication page at http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/publsut.shtml

Kotoricon cannot be responsible for Dealer registration to New Jersey State for collecting sales tax. We have the right to remove a
Dealer without refund if a Proof of Registration certificate is missing or not valid. To obtain a proof of registration, visit http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/revenue/proofreg.shtml

Paid Vendors will be asked to set up either Friday evening or Saturday morning. No vendors can set up after the convention opens. If they come late their space is forfeit. No last minute vendors will be admitted to take unclaimed space on the day of the Convention.
