WGASC Scholarship Committee Member – Information & Qualifications

Serving on the WGASC Scholarship Committee is an important and meaningful role that helps support students through fair and thoughtful scholarship decisions.

Time Commitment & Responsibilities

  • Attend 2–3 Zoom meetings between January and May

  • Read and review all scholarship applications thoroughly prior to the decision meeting

  • Actively participate in committee discussions and final scholarship decisions

  • Share your honest opinions and insights, as each member’s perspective is valued

Expectations

  • Approach all applications with fairness, integrity, and an unbiased mindset

  • Maintain confidentiality of applicant information and committee discussions

  • Be open-minded and respectful of differing viewpoints during deliberations

  • Meet deadlines and be reliable in completing reviews on time

  • Attend award ceremonies
