Kelli Grisham Award - Recipients of the Kelli Grisham Award are recognized for their outstanding commitment to persons with developmental disabilities. They display the #BVCEffect, by involving all people, despite their differences, in all things. Nominees should be community members committed to encouraging and supporting people with developmental disabilities in Hancock County. Successful nominees will demonstrate a dedication to helping individuals with developmental disabilities recognize possibilities, pursue opportunities, and achieve personal success as valued members within the community.

Hurdle to Success Award - Recipients of the Hurdle to Success Award are recognized for overcoming obstacles for individuals with developmental disabilities. Nominees should be employers, volunteer organizations, community resources, or businesses that promote opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities in Hancock County. Successful nominees will create and foster opportunities for individuals to live, learn, work and be a part of the community.

Kenny Bender Award for Advocacy & Success - Recipients of the Kenny Bender Award for Advocacy & Success are recognized for their personal achievements and exceptional growth. Nominees should be individuals with developmental disabilities who demonstrate perseverance to achieve personal success. Successful nominees will have a success story to share about how they have set and achieve personal growth through hard work, lifelong learning and physical well-being.

The Extra Mile Award - Recipients of The Extra Mile Award are recognized for their integrity, creativity, and flexibility in their service delivery. Nominees should be provider agencies, DSPs, independent providers, County Board employees, or entities that provide direct services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Successful nominees will create and foster opportunities for individuals to live, learn, work and be a part of the community.
