Wheaton Academy offers all students the opportunity to serve on campus in a variety of capacities which not only give students valuable opportunities but also help to control costs. This program serves to make an impact on the presentation of our school facilities, to assist in the lunchroom or offices, and to aid with the set-up of our many school activities. Enrolling as a WA Service Team member shows your investment in the community and that you care about making it stronger and more effective.
While not only the opportunity to volunteer, being a part of a WA Service Team meets one of the school contribution recommendations for those receiving financial aid. Students who enroll in this program will be contacted about specific service requirements including necessary skills, the time commitment, and other key details. These opportunities exist before, during, and after school as well as during the summer.
Students who choose to serve during the school day (WA Service Intern) may earn academic credit while assisting in assigned roles. If a student wishes to complete their service during a class period, after completing this form, they should also contact Student Services to ensure their schedule has an open period during the appropriate semester.
Parents are able to serve on behalf or alongside their students in many cases.
