The Cardinal Nest Internship Application
The Cardinal Nest Inc. is now seeking interns for the 2018-19 school year. Intern duties will vary based on interest and availability.
- Current College Student living in or near Cleveland or East Cleveland, Ohio
- Passionate about the mission of The Cardinal Nest Inc.
- Available at least 8-12 hours per week
- Access to technology (i.e. computer & smart phone)
- Great oral and written communication skills
The Cardinal Nest is a 501(c)(3) mentoring organization dedicated to preparing high school students their futures. Through our mission, purpose and objectives, we impact the lives of many promising students. The Cardinal Nest was officially incorporated on February 17, 2015, although the initial cohort of students was established in September 2014.
The Cardinal Nest will be the catalyst in the revitalization of the City of East Cleveland through education and community engagement.
The Cardinal Nest will provide high school students living in or near East Cleveland, Ohio with a sense of pride in their community, hope for their future, and the tools necessary to reach their goals.
The purpose of The Cardinal Nest is to prepare high school students for their post-graduation endeavors so that they may reach optimum levels of success.

Programming - Assisting with the planning and/or implementation of The Cardinal Nest's major programs including the mentoring and scholarship programs
Fundraising/Development - Assisting with the ascertainment of funds for programming and operations including The Cardinal Nest Club, foundation research, fundraising events, proposal development, and general donor relations
Marketing - Assisting with the public promotion of organizational events and programs including social media, street outreach, and community engagement
General Events - Assisting with the facilitation of events including event set-up and break-down and other needs to ensure that events run smoothly
Youth Empowerment Weekend- An event subcommittee that focuses on the planning and implementation of our annual youth empowerment weekend
