Students and Professionals are invited to present posters on case-studies or research at this year’s Oregon Urban Forestry conference. This year’s theme is “More Housing, More Trees: Giving Oregonians Both." Visit www.oregoncommunitytrees.org for more information.
This year's conference will be held June 27th, 2024, in Eugene!
Poster topics may include:
- Planning concept drawings, architectural or landscape designs integrating large form trees with housing development or re-development.
- Case-studies on projects preserving mature trees during development.
- Research on urban canopy equity and public health, climate change impacts on urban forests and communities.
- Use of GIS to maximize canopy in planning development or new development.
- Case-studies on different techniques to maximize space for large form trees planted after redevelopment for increased density;
- Planning ideas for redesigned streets, right-of-way planting strips, parking areas and similar concepts that integrate more housing with forest canopy.
