This special presentation is about the evolution of recent hurricanes that have threatened Hawaii, including how and why they form, how their structure affects the hazards they produce, and how to forecast their behavior.
Our guest presenter will be Dr. Steven Businger. Professor and Chair of the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Hawaiʻi.
This presentation is part of Maui Nui Marine Resource Councilʻs monthly meeting and is open to the public.
When: At Maui Nui Marine Resource Council's monthly meeting on Weds., August 7, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Doors open at 5 pm. We ask that everyone be seated by 5:30 pm.

What you need to know: The aquarium will be closed during this presentation. A light sweater or jacket is recommended. No food or drinks are permitted in The Sphere.
