Virtual Intuitive Eating Coaching
Founded upon the Intuitive Eating framework, I offer virtual 1-on-1 coaching for individuals who are interested in working to cultivate a shame-free and satisfying relationship with eating and exercise

Intuitive Eating is a self-care eating framework, which integrates instinct, emotion, and rational thought and was created by two dietitians, Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch in 1995. Intuitive Eating is a weight-inclusive, evidence-based model with a validated assessment scale and over 140 studies to date.

It’s a personal and dynamic process, which includes 10 principles:

Respect Your Fullness
Discover the Satisfaction Factor
Honor Your Feelings with kindness
Respect Your Body
Exercise—Feel the Difference

The principles work in two key ways:

By helping you cultivate attunement to the physical sensations that arise from within your body to get both your biological and psychological needs met and removing the obstacles and disruptors to attunement, which usually come from the mind in the form of rules, beliefs, and thoughts.

The process of Intuitive Eating is a practice, which honors both physical and mental health.

Intuitive Eating is aligned with Health at Every Size, because the pursuit of intentional weight loss is a failed paradigm, which creates health problems: including weight stigma, weight cycling, and eating disorders.

All bodies deserve dignity and respect.

Disengaging from diet culture and learning how to re-connect to our bodies in a satisfying way can sometimes be challenging.

As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I provide coaching to help you cultivate a relationship with eating, exercise, and your body in a way that is free of shame through a lens that is aligned with my education and experience as a health educator and fitness professional.

WHAT DOES INTUITIVE EATING COACHING LOOK LIKE?

1) Once you complete the application, I’ll email you to schedule a time for us to meet via Zoom for a free 30 minute call to chat more about the program and decide together if this is a good fit.

2) I require folks to commit to 3-months of weekly 45-minute coaching sessions* ($197/month) because disengaging from diet culture takes time & attention.

*If a 3-month commitment isn't feasible for you right now, I also offer coaching at a pay-per-session rate of $50

Our sessions will take place via Zoom.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

Unlike most mainstream health-based programs, this is NOT a weight loss program or a diet. In fact, Intuitive Eating is the antidote to dieting. With practicing Intuitive Eating, you might lose weight. You might gain weight. Your weight might stay the same…and all all of that is okay. Intuitive Eating is a weight-neutral eating framework that helps you overcome the mentality that you “have to diet” (you don’t), learn how to pay attention to your hunger and fullness cues, and reconnect to your body in a kind and respectful way.

By adopting Intuitive Eating as a practice, you will:

- learn how to make more satisfying food choices that aren’t based around a restrictive food plan

- change the way you think about food, bodies, and health

- stop feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with your body

- find ways to exercise and move in a way that is practical, realistic, joyful, and feels good according to *your* needs and preferences

Please note: Since I am not a medical professional, mental health counselor, or registered dietician, it is beyond my scope of practice to diagnose or treat any type of injury, illness, or eating disorder but am happy to help refer you to the right person if needed.

Additionally, many of my current and past clients participate in this Intuitive Eating Coaching program while also working with other professionals (therapists, doctors, etc.) and have found the Intuitive Eating framework to be a complimentary approach to the treatments they are participating in.
