I hereby apply for membership of the PWA events for the 2025 PWA World Tour. Should my entry be accepted, I agree to abide by and follow the PWA Rulebook and all other rules, regulations and Instructions in effect at each event. As consideration for my acceptance into the PWA events for 2025, I hereby agree to:
waive and release any and all claims I may have or acquire against Organisers or sponsors and the PWA including its Committee, Officers, members, employees, agents, and volunteers ("Released Parties") including any or all claims for damage to my person and/or property caused by the negligence of any person or entity released arising out of the participation in the regatta and related activities, including pre-start and post start operations, beach activities and social events; indemnify and hold harmless the released parties from any such claim which may be asserted or brought; and pay any attorney fees and cost incurred by the released parties in defending such a claim:
grant to the PWA the irrevocable right, license and privilege to photograph, record, reproduce, represent, exhibit, televise and transmit my name, likeness, photograph, moving picture and voice throughout the world in any media now or hereafter, known or devised, for any use except product or service endorsement. The PWA shall not use the right granted for service endorsement without the express written consent of the sailor. I acknowledge that the PWA is the sole owner of the right and that I am not entitled to any compensation for the use of the same by the PWA:
become familiar with the relevant conditions, event sites, and race courses, and assume all risk of injury which may result from my participation in the event. I acknowledge that the risks include, without limitation, collision with other sailors and their equipment; interaction with drones and other unmanned remote vehicles used in filming and / or race management activities and I accept that such drones may fly in very close proximity to me both during competition and at other times during the event; cuts and abrasions from coral, rocks and other sharp objects and encounters with poisonous and carnivorous sea creatures; collision with event equipment, course markers, obstacles, jumps, jump ramps and any other objects that are utilised in the operation of an event:
be present for the full duration of all events in which I compete, from the day of registration to the end of the closing ceremony ; not reasonably refuse to participate in promotional activities such as workshops, round table discussions and autograph signings which are organised to enhance the quality of the event ; appear, if requested, one full day before and one full day after a maximum of two events per annum for promotional purposes, providing I am reimbursed for any reasonable expenditure incurred:
deliver key messages agreed and endorsed by the Association as part of its strategic plan to promote windsurfing and the PWA and act as ambassadors for the sport of windsurfing both in person, on social media and through any other means available:
I undertake to read, understand and abide by the Constitution and Rulebook of the PWA as may be determined from time to time by the PWA Management Board, including any rule changes published in the Notice of Race, and understand that the Management Board shall be entitled unilaterally at its sole discretion to enforce all penalties contained in the current PWA Rulebook and / or alternatively summarily cancel my membership:
Whenever the singular is used in this agreement, it shall be deemed to include the plural where appropriate. all releases, waivers, and grants shall bind the executors, successors, heirs, and assigns of both parties:
The duration of PWA membership is from agreeing to this contract to the last event of the PWA season:
members are constrained by the PWA Rulebook and this membership contract for three months after termination of membership:
