PPMET Storytelling & Advocacy Internship Application
The Storytelling Intern will assist the External Affairs department at the Knoxville office of Planned Parenthood of Middle and East Tennessee with the coordination and management of various Storytelling and Advocacy initiatives. The intern will gain valuable insight and experience with how storytelling can generate positive change in the fields of advocacy and health care. The Storytelling Intern should be someone who is outgoing and comfortable talking to new people, familiar with Planned Parenthood’s mission and values, and passionate about reproductive health care. They will primarily be working with our Health Center Advocacy Program (HCAP), the Tennessee Stories Project (TSP), and our deep values canvassing campaigns. HCAP involves talking to patients in our health center about Planned Parenthood, storytelling opportunities, and other ways to get involved. The Tennessee Stories Project is an effort to reduce abortion stigma through people sharing their abortion stories on www.tnstories.org.
