February Community Practice Period
Thursday evening, February 20th-Sunday, February 23rd at noon.

Led by Mark Nunberg, Matthew King, and TBD

Please carefully consider whether you can commit to this practice period. Handling registration is time-intensive, so cancellations, especially last-minute ones, are inconvenient and may result in fewer people being able to retreat at Prairie Farm.

Registration is by Lottery Drawing

Please fill out the application form as completely as possible.

All applications received in the first 7 days of the registration period (prior to and including February 5th) will be drawn from randomly to fill the spaces available and then to make up the waiting list in order. After February 5th any remaining spaces and/or the waiting list will be filled in the order that additional application forms are received.

The practice period is full, but registrations for the waiting list will continue to be accepted until just before the retreat.

Gender Identity *
Please note that your response will be used for roommate assignments. Common Ground is doing our best to create a welcoming environment for community members of all gender identities. While we realize it is imperfect, it is our general policy to room people of the same gender together. However, because many of our community members identify as non-binary or other diverse gender identities, it may be the case that there is only one person of a given gender identity on retreat. If this is the case for you, Gabe Keller Flores, our office manager, will reach out to you to either identify a suitable roommate or assign you one of the few single rooms. We welcome feedback on any aspect of this policy.

Registration Priority Policy
Common Ground is committed to giving registration priority to members of these communities that have experienced historical oppression: Black, Indigenous, people of color, transgender, and genderqueer. We hope this increases the likelihood of a sense of safety and belonging for all members of our community. We use this policy with both a deep humility and a growing sense that this policy benefits us all as we practice the Buddha’s teachings in an increasingly multicultural community and engage in the ongoing work needed to create a more equitable world. To learn more, contact Gabe Keller Flores: 612-722-8260 or gabe@commongroundmeditation.org. We welcome feedback on any aspect of this policy. Please select all that apply (optional):
Couples/Friends Registration
You and another person may be drawn together in the lottery if you list them below. All parties must register and provide the email addresses of the others in this field before the lottery deadline to be considered. Please note that we cannot honor this if only one of you is eligible for a bypass or admitted via the priority policy. Please also note that it is our policy to not room partners and friends together, in the interest of supporting the commitment to Noble Silence on retreat.
