MUSE-Study - Muscle Ultrasound in Sarcopenia Evaluation

Dear colleagues,
Dear ladies and gentlemen,

The aim of this survey is to generate an overview on the current usage and practice in muscle ultrasound across Europe and internationally.

Numerous studies have used muscle ultrasound to characterize skeletal muscle of most body segments, in older sarcopenic patients, in different care settings. Despite its widespread use in the field of geriatric medicine research, the main methodological criteria necessary to make this technique usable in the diagnostic pathway of sarcopenia are still lacking.

Your answer will help to establish a standardised method of muscle ultrasound for the diagnosis of sarcopenia!

We would like to thank you in advance for your support and your efforts!
