Flightology alpha

Hi all,

Happy New Year! 🎉

As I started flying a lot more in the last couple months, I got pretty frustrated that there isn’t a good cross-platform flight tracking & logging app (especially for Android and web). I decided to build my own.

The features I want:

  • Clean design
  • Cross-platform with sync (iOS, Android, web)
  • Fast & accurate alerts
  • Useful delay info
  • Good log editing (especially on web)
  • Links to other tools, like seat maps

Right now I'm looking for some people to try it out. It’s heavily WIP, and I'd love to properly battle-test it, especially if you’re a more frequent flyer.

Currently available:

  • iOS & Android
  • Search & add future flight
  • View flight info
  • Basic flight log
  • Notifications

Quick note - the flight tracking APIs are pretty expensive, which is partly why I'm looking for users (they're a bit too pricey for just personal use…). If anyone has tips on that, or suggestions on pricing, I'm all ears!

If you are interested or have other feedback, please fill out this quick form, or email me at daniel@flightology.app

Thanks!
Daniel

Sneak peek (WIP don't judge too hard... 🙈)

What flight tracking or logging apps do you currently use?
What’s your biggest frustration with existing apps?
What features are most important to you?
If you're currently using another app, what features would make you switch?
What would you consider a reasonable price for an app with these features?
Due to the per-flight lookup costs, subscriptions or ads are likely the only ways this is sustainable, but I'm open to other ideas too!
